We have grown our roots in Fitchburg by getting involved in events, projects and sponsorships that include helping the Fitchburg Farmers Market, Fitchburg Concerts in the Park, Fitchburg Boys & Girls Club, Fitchburg’s Bark in the Park and the Fitchburg Police and Fire Departments, just to name a few.
Our staff understands the importance of helping our community and volunteering for causes that affect all of us. Giving Tree
November 4th to December 6th
Help us make the holidays brighter for the children in the Reach Dane Head Start program.
In late December, every enrolled Head Start or Early Head Start child receives a brand-new educational toy and book that is collected through the Giving Tree Program. These moments of holiday connection give joy to a child who is often living in a great deal of stress, trauma, and transitions related to living in poverty. The Giving Tree program lets parents build memories with their children and experience the magic of the holidays.
There are two ways to participate. You can select a heart from our "Giving Tree" in our lobby beginning November 4th. Every heart has a wish for a child. Return UNWRAPPED gifts to our lobby by December 6th.
Or, If you would rather donate directly, please purchase all gifts through the Head Start Giving Tree Target Registry linked here. These gifts were hand-picked by Head Start staff that know our children's interests and needs. Please have the gift shipped directly to Reach Dane's Red Arrow main office (2096 Red Arrow Trail, Madison, WI 53711) with enough time to arrive by Friday, December 6.

Reach Dane’s mission is to change the lives of underserved children and families through education and supportive services. Reach Dane is the only agency in Dane County that offers Early Head Start and Head Start, which provides a comprehensive system of support for families that include physical and mental health, dental services, nutrition, and transportation. These high-quality early childhood services reach nearly 1,000 children ages 0-5 in Dane and Green County each year through a variety of center-based and home visitation programs designed to meet the individual needs of families.
