Job Title:  Associate Vice President – Treasury Management

Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing and managing their own portfolio of relationships focused on deposits by leveraging an in-depth knowledge of banking products, cross-selling and sales abilities, and a strong business client service philosophy. Partners within the business banking team to ensure deposit and cash management product expertise and personalized service delivery in support of client success.

Position Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the bank’s goals by proactively seeking out new business opportunities for high-value deposit centric relationships.
  • Creates and implements plans for deposit growth, fee income strategy, and a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Consults with and advises clients regarding treasury management products, solutions, and potential risks.
  • Ensures a high touch, high level client experience and takes accountability for retaining client relationships.
  • Works directly with clients and as part of the treasury management team supporting complex business deposit relationships, taking the lead in delivering services relating to receipts, payment, information/control, and liquidity and assistance with all cash management services.  
  • Directly assists a portfolio of clients in setting up and implementing treasury management services over the phone, in person and at the client’s place of business.
  • Assists with analyzing and assessing potential treasury management services and solutions, along with associated risks.
  • Assists Business Bankers on outside calls made in person or video conference.
  • Conducts onsite client evaluations and annual reviews of treasury management services.
  • Maintains a high degree of knowledge regarding business banking and cash management trends to provide clients with innovative products and services.
  • Works collaboratively to ensure quality treasury management services for our clients, including defining procedures and executing projects.
  • Maintains awareness of legal requirements and best practices, adhering to established bank policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Other activities as needed to drive toward our vision and fulfill our mission as a treasury management team and organization.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Practical understanding of the deposit and treasury products and services used most frequently by small to medium sized businesses.
  • A working understanding of deposit and treasury policies and processes is required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are necessary for success in a business-to-business relationship sales setting.
  • Ability to manage time, solve problems and oversee projects in support of client and team success.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to evolving technologies and workflows.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Valid driver’s license with an ability to travel locally to client sites. 
  • Certification as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
  • Certification as an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) preferred. 
  • Able to collaborate as part of an overall team, supporting others throughout the bank to achieve goals and objectives.

Work Schedule

Work is performed primarily in an office environment with routine local travel to client sites. Hours of work are generally during regular business hours of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. There may be some variation in work hours due to special projects and/or deadlines.
